EDC Outreach Ministry

The mission of the ministry is to:

1) Raise awareness in the Community of Roseville about a non-traditional church called Empowering Disciples.

2) Let the city know what we believe, what we offer and how we plan to add value to this community.

3) Address the spiritual, social and economic challenges of this city by developing programs that meet the current and future needs.

Outreach Ministry Goals

  • Conducting Health Fairs and hosting neighborhood Picnics on the church property.  Providing jumpers for the kids, food and music for everyone and an Evangelistic Team for those needing prayer and/or salvation.
  • Organizing "Back to School Prayer Rallies" on our property for the neighborhood/city.  Giving away school supplies and our annual EDC scholarship to our school or monies to assist in paying for higher or continued education.
  • Reaching-out to other churches in the city of Roseville, to build fellowships and partnerships in an effort to pool resources toward becoming more effective in providing services to the community.
  • Offering low cost Summer Camps for kids ages 1-12.  Serving meals and providing outside activities and field trips for the campers.
  • Presenting life skills training for teens and adults.
  • Opening our doors for the following: neighborhood watch/block club meetings, voting poles, Census Information center, AA and NA weekly meetings, etc.
  • Developing food programs, such as Gleaners, Focus Hope and Angel Food services.
  • Sponsoring monthly clothing and food drives for the homeless and less fortunate.
  • Becoming a weekend or weekday shelter for the homeless, in the winter months.  Providing hot meals, prayers and clean clothes during these visits.
  • Rebuilding the neighborhood by acquiring empty and abandoned properties, rehabbing them and putting families into low cost, newly renovated housing.
